OPPORTUITY FOR STUDENTS TO WORK AT THE POLLS!
The Newton City Clerk/Elections Office is preparing for a Special Election on March 18th for Ward 7 School Committee Member and needs people to work at the polls. This is a paid position, students 16+ are eligible, and an application is linked below. There will be two more elections this year: September 2025 and November 2025 (dates TBD early this Summer). NNHS SEAL FOR CIVIC ACTION AND NNHS SEAL OF SOCIAL JUSTICE
Members of the NNHS Classes of 2025 and 2026 who have demonstrated passion and an on-going dedication to civic life, service and social justice may be eligible to receive the NNHS Seal of Civic Action and/or the NNHS Seal of Social Justice on their transcripts. CIVIC ACTION GRANTS
Have an idea of how to improve or change something at NNHS and/or community and you need a bit of money to get started? Want to plan something related to civics for your classroom or a group? Consider applying for a Civics Action Grant from the Center. Civic Action Grant Applications from the NNHS community are now being accepted.
